A Newly Discovered New Testament Fasting Program * see footnote

With the start of a new year, life brings many new challenges and opportunities. A renewal of spiritual health is needed. The popular way to fast and pray, from several years ago, from the Old Testament has run its course. Yes, the Daniel Fast. All the major churches are doing it, and how yesterday is that.

Here is the basis for the Daniel Fast. You must merge parts of chapter 1 with parts from chapter 10. Chapters and years apart.

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse (plus was the kosher Jewish diet) to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
             (Daniel 1:12-16 KJV)

In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
             (Daniel 10:2-3 KJV)

Now let me introduce you to the New Testament Fast that will separate you from the flock, may put you years ahead spiritually, but first a lead in from our favorite Prophet from North Carolina:

“But Jesus wanted the crowd to know, look, ‘John’s (the baptist) the one who got this whole thing started.’ In verse ten He says, ‘This is the one about whom it is written, ‘I’ll send my messenger ahead of you who will prepare Your way before You.’  Jesus says, ‘If it wasn’t for John, I wouldn’t even be here performing these miracles.’”

Yes, John The Baptist Fast is a new just discovered New Testament fast/diet that will put you closer to the answers you seek. A fast of locusts and wild honey. Truly a fast/diet for the real servant.

And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
            (Matthew 3:4 KJV)

This plan is even backed up by an Old Testament scripture.

Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
(Leviticus 11:21-23 KJV)

A merging of Old Testament and New Testament, how AWESOME is that.
Even Jesus tells us how we should fast, as if knowing somehow this secret would be unlocked in our time of signs and miracles and Sun Stand Still moments.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
           (Matthew 6:16-18 KJV)

Only Jesus could do a real fast of not eating for 40 days. Us mere mortals would be putting our health in compromise, and with our busy lives be run down.
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit up into the wilderness, to be tempted by the Devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterwards hungry.
             (Matthew 4:1-2 MKJV)

Be the first to eat locust and wild honey. Just how dedicated are you to God? Of course if you read your Bible then you would know that what the False Prophets in our time are luring you into a trap you may never climb out of. To please God is not to follow any pastor blindly. Read your Bible, check out what the talking heads are telling you.
Here is the proper definition of a fast:

1. To abstain from food.
2. To eat very little or abstain from certain foods, especially as a religious discipline.
n.
1. The act or practice of abstaining from or eating very little food.
2. A period of such abstention or self-denial.

There is nothing new under the sun, just a different way to twist the Truth.
